Why are this summer's movies sucking so badly? This week we trace the cause back a few months to Valentine's Day, when Rafe warned everyone that Taylor Swift was sucking the talent out of the room. See how many of those cast members are in today's duds.

I don’t know that there’s been an overwhelming desire for the 1980s television series The A-Team to have a big screen adaptation. Looking at old shows that would be ripe for adaptation, the series that made Mr. T a star does seem like a natural fit, with the potential for crazy action sequences and a quantity of explosions that would make Michael Bay envious.

Closing Tabs started as a weekly look at news we didn’t cover on the site throughout the week. As the site has grown, however, we’ve moved away from reporting most news (you can catch most of it regurgitated on other sites anyway) in favor of more original opinions and editorials.

We're in the doldrums of the year, so we don't have a ton to talk about in the way of new reviews, but there have been several stories building with a similar theme: studio interference.

The episode title may serve mostly as a reference to the first image released from the upcoming big-screen adaptation of The A-Team, one of the many topics we hit on this week.

Each week we take note of some stories circling the Internet that for some reason, whether it be time or fate or lack of personal interest, we don’t wind up covering on the site. By the end of the week, we wind up with a bunch of tabs open on our browsers and newsreaders that just end up sitting there waiting for more attention.

We skipped a lot of the new releases this week, which was probably a good move since they tended to average around 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. Instead Jeff and Rafe finally got the chance to see the long-awaited Moon.

The only reason I’m reporting on this is because we’ve reported something previous on the subject that seemed rather definite, and now obviously it’s not.

Last week, Common confirmed talks were going on between his people and Joe Carnahan’s people, with hopes that Common would be playing B.A. Baracus in the upcoming adaptation of The A-Team.

Since we’re already talking about ‘80s franchises brought to modern day today (read about another one here), let’s talk about former action series The A-Team. The show has been on the slate for a movie adaptation for some time.
