Sherlock Holmes
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Wed, 12/30/2009 - 10:45Alright, all of you folks who have been complaining about a lack of originality from James Cameron’s blockbuster, Avatar, pay attention. The world’s most famous consulting detective is here in a new incarnation that is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Yet, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes remains faithful to the source material, both in characterization and in content.

Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Sun, 08/09/2009 - 11:12It’s been a while since we heard anything new on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, the new film from director Terry Gilliam and the final project of Heath Ledger. The movie screened at Cannes to wild acclaim, but has sort of fallen silent since then. Finally, a trailer has arrived online and the movie looks even wilder than I imagined.
Character Posters for Sherlock Holmes Could Be Better
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Fri, 06/19/2009 - 19:02I’m intrigued about Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes, coming later this year. As our own Margaret pointed out in her trailer review, it’s hard to tell just how much of this movie will be comedic and how much will be more of an action flick. Somewhere in between is where Holmes will lie, and I’m interested to find out where.
