It's San Diego Comic-Con week, and as usual we aren't there. We still have reactions to news highlights coming from the Con, however, including the ridiculous Hall H stabbing. We move into the Mia Farrow era of Woody Allen's movies with looks at Hannah and her Sisters and Brothers and Sisters.

Margaret and Rafe have some interesting disagreements this week, as the group review Iron Man 2 and compare Walter Matthau's The Taking of Pelham One Two Three with the Tony Scott remake. We also discuss Matthau's Charlie Varrick, discuss the Bond franchise being on hold, and belittle Jeff as frequently as possible.

Two years ago, Iron Man brought another of Marvel Comic’s heroes to the screen with great success. While the metallic hero may not be one passive comic book fans are as familiar with, the movie, powered by Robert Downey Jr., made the flamboyant millionaire turned super hero into a household name.

It's an episode so long we couldn't possibly cram it into our traditional hourlong format (a technical malfunction with the timer notwithstanding). Inside you'll hear reviews of Sherlock Holmes, Up in the Air, and Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Darkside, as well as the finish of James Cameron month with Strange Days and True Lies.

If I wasn’t already excited about next year’s Iron Man 2, the new trailer would have done the job. As it is, I was already eagerly anticipating the movie, and this trailer has insured I will be eating up every image, clip, and interview that’s released leading up to the movie’s release.

We’re barely into December and the marketing blitz has begun for what will easily be one of next year’s most anticipated movies. Iron Man 2 has a solid foundation to build upon, with an excellent first chapter. Now it adds the talent of Scarlet Johanssen, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, and Don Cheadle (replacing Terrence Howard).

Each week we take note of some stories circling the Internet that for some reason, whether it be time or fate or lack of personal interest, we don’t wind up covering on the site. By the end of the week, we wind up with a bunch of tabs open on our browsers and newsreaders that just end up sitting there waiting for more attention.

With Twilight having brought vampires back in a big way, it’s no surprise to see every studio attempting to find some way to capitalize on them, especially if they can depict the vampire as a tortured, sympathetic soul.
