17. Side Effects: Still my favorite film of the year. Read why here: http://www.widescreenwarrior.com/2013/02/10/side-effects-review/
18. The Collector: Mediocre but occasionally solid attempt at creating a new serial killer. 2.5/5
19. The Collection: A HUGE improvement over the mediocre original. Creative kills, cool set design, solid actors and one of the most satisfying endings in horror film history. 4/5
20. The ABCs Of Death: Extremely uneven anthology of 26 shorts. Literally, 13 of the shorts are interesting and 13 of them are unoriginally offensive. 2.5/5
21. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1:A great adaptation of the classic graphic novel with fantastic vocal performances, particularly Peter Weller as Batman. 4.5/5
22. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2: Same as above, though special mention goes to Michael Emerson as The Joker. 4.5/5
23. The Devil's Advocate: A mediocre movie made really enjoyable thanks to Al Pacino's amazing scenery chewing performance. 3.5/5
24. The Room: A classic of unintentionally hilarious cinema. 1/5
25. Bullets Over Broadway: Classic Woody Allen screwball character based humor. One of his best. 4.5/5
26. Dear Zachary: A Letter to A Son About His Father: The best documentary I've ever seen. Definitely in my top 100 favorite films of all time. Just watch it. 5/5
27. Deconstructing Harry: One of Allen's lesser works. Felt like he was trying too hard to be edgy and crude, which never quite works for him. 2/5
28. Amour: Do you like seeing old people suffer and slowly die for two excruciatingly boring hours? THEN THIS IS THE MOVIE FOR YOU! 2.5/5
29. Flight: While unrealistic and FAR too long, the main thing that sells this is one hell of a performance from Denzel Washington. Plus, Robert Zemeckis brings his usual charm back to his latest film. 3.5/5
30. The Untouchables: Fairly overrated gangster film. Kevin Costner's leading presence really fumbles this whole thing, especially when he's upstaged by Sean Connery. Plus, all of the other titular Untouchables were far more interesting and got shafted in terms of screen time, as did Robert De Niro. 3/5
31. The Last Exorcism Part II: Garbage. Stick with the genuinely affective first film. 0.5/5
32. Oz The Great And Powerful: Solid take on the classic franchise. Has issues with Mila Kunis' half assed character, but it's otherwise quite magical. 4/5
33. Assault on Precinct 13 (1976): Carpenter's first is a fine piece of action the develops its characters quite well. 3.5/5
34. Escape from L.A.: Horrible follow up to such a great film. Snake Plissken is ruined forever. 1.5/5
35. Spring Breakers: Despite some shaky performances from the lead girls and a very weak ending, the visual style and James Franco's performance make this a solid art film... with tits. 3.5/5
36. Repo Man: Punk rock style filmmaking at it's most warped. Great soundtrack, performances and satirical humor throughout. 4/5
37. Paprika: Gorgeous anime film that serves as a brilliant alternative to Inception... and I love Inception. 4.5/5
38. Evil Dead (2013): A worthy goretastic remake of the original. Fantastic practical work and solid performers made this a fun ride. 4/5
39. GI Joe: Rise of Cobra: An really uneven, but occasionally fun summer blockbuster. 2.5/5
40. GI Joe Retaliation: Slight improvement over the first... no thanks to Bruce Willis. 3/5
41. Sightseers: Brilliant British dark comedy. Well worth finding and one of the year's best so far. 4.5/5
42. Shallow Grave: Danny Boyle's first is a damn engaging crime thriller. 4/5
43. Trance: Second favorite Boyle film. Hypnotic, gorgeous and constantly twisting at every turn in a way that feels oddly natural. 4.5/5
44. Place Beyond the Pines: Despite a solid first third, this very weighty drama with big themes really ends up being uneven. 2.5/5
45. Dark Feed: Pretty dull and forgettable horror film. 2/5
46. The Quick and the Dead: Fun western from Sam Raimi with a damn great cast. 3.5/5
47. A Simple Plan: Sam Raimi's most underrated. Billy Bob Thorton and Bill Paxton's best performances for sure. 4.5/5
48. The Odd Couple: Classic comedy that formed one hell of a team with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. 4/5
49. The Is The End: Hysterical from beginning to end. Best comedy of the year so far. 4.5/5
50. The Lords of Salem: Rob Zombie... I'm done. I'm just... done. 1/5
51. Shrek Forever After: A middling end to the once great franchise. Eh, at least it's watchable unlike Shrek the Third. 2.5/5
52. To The Wonder: It's your typical Terrance Malick film; gorgeous to look at, but not much there storywise. 2.5/5
53. Room 237: An engaging documentary about some really warped people. 3.5/5
54. My Amityville Horror: A well made documentary about a tragic storyline. 4/5
55. Upstream Color: I really don't get all the praise. It's well shot and has a few interesting elements, but ends up being far too artsy for it's own good. 2/5
56. Iron Man 3: Great blockbuster entertainment from Marvel Studios, as per usual. 4.5/5
57. Despicable Me: A cute, but ultimately forgettable animated film. 3/5
58. Pain & Gain: Michael Bay uses his usual gimmicks for some crude yet affective satirical purposes. 3.5/5
59. The Last Boy Scout: An unrealistic, but constantly fun action comedy. 4/5
60. The Long Kiss Goodnight: While contrived premise wise, Shane Black's clever script and the pairing of Samuel L. Jackson & Geena Davis really makes it hilarious. 4/5
61. The Great Gatsby (2013): A constant struggle between spectacle and drama that works more than it doesn't. 3/5
62. Aftershock: Dull disaster with occasional solid gore and a weird exploitation of tragedy. 2/5
